Ghana’s National Food and Agricultural Show (FAGRO 2011)
The National Food and Agricultural Show (FAGRO) is Ghana’s primary agri-business event that brings together various stakeholders throughout the agricultural sector, both domestically and internationally. With the Ghanaian agricultural sector growing at approximately 5.7% per year, this is the premier platform for companies to present new technologies, trends in agricultural marketing, and production practices to a rapidly growing market.
Last year the event attracted over 10,000 people from throughout Ghana and the West African region. The event will feature companies from Europe, China and North America, and is well positioned to forge strong network connections between Ghanaian and regional and international stakeholders.
FAGRO is a powerful platform that will support North American companies who want to enter or develop their business in the West African marketplace. It will also be an excellent venue to expose farmers to new farming techniques and tools, educate stakeholders on agricultural marketing and production practices, learn about Ghanaian agricultural districts, and contribute to the country's drive to achieve food security and development of agro-based industries.
